The Oz

After my form of identification was rejected at Circa of Arlington, I thought i’d scoot on over to OZ which happens to be directly across the street from Circa, and to my surprise they were willing to take a chance on the girl.. I guess they’ve seen a temporary I.D. on paper before. I don’t know if it was just my luck or the food gods who lead me in the right direction this day but i’m forever thankful for the redirection. As if the decor in the front of the establishment wasn’t enough The specials offered were way to good to pass up, which is why I took no time putting a seat on reserve.

After thinking I’d be deprived of my favorite drink on my favorite day, I was more than happy to find that they bring you the whole bottle of Champagne and O.J. to pour as we pleased.

We decided to take advantage of the 35$ brunch special offered to us, for starters I chose the crispy balsamic infused brussels mixed in with pomegranate seeds and blue cheese crumbles… dangerously delicious.

By now i’m sure that you can tell, I was all about the fruit mix-ups, this dish features fried chicken, corn, mango, raspberries and doughnuts. I was instantly put in a trance. Can you imagine eating your fruit with chicken and doughnuts? Can you imagine it actually tasting good? Me either which is why OZ restaurant and bar has landed on the list of culinary orgasms they took my favorite snack,my favorite fruit, my choice in vegetables with little bits of chicken hidden safely under the corn and packed it all onto the same plate, just for me!!! It’s like they knew that I would be coming lol.
