Hanifa’s F/W collection is the talk of the town and here’s why...

Anifa Mvuemba is a Congolese woman who relocated from Nairobi, Kenya to the U.S. at the age of three. Her Maryland based fashion brand Hanifatook off after her viral “Pink Label Congo”, 3-D fashion show debuted May 22, mid pandemic. She instantly became known as “the designer who sent ghost models down the runway.”

Fast forward to today she is one of the most innovative black designers making an impact in the fashion industry today with her sleek, sophisticated designs that flatter every curve, Hanifa has become one of the most sought after brands amongst black girls today.

If you’re from or have lived in the DMV, you’re no stranger to the brand Hanifa, you’ve most likely spotted her designs at brunches, art galleries, birthday dinners, church and business meetings or have heard of her brand through word of mouth.

All of these accomplishments happening without her ever having so much as a fashion show or major industry resources backing her. The epitome of “Living your dream“.

November 16th, 2021 was a monumental milestone for Anifa, her very first physical fashion show. Based in DC at “The National Gallery of Art.”…..
